Yoga had been my loyal companion for many years, my “go-to” when my body needed a rest from the hardcore workout life I led. For many years, I thought all was going well until personal challenges brought my life to a complete standstill, I felt like everything was crumbling down. I felt shattered and broken and not sure how I would live on, all this also retriggered my PTSD, depression, and anxiety. During this challenging time, many things were not going well, one was losing the job I loved, which I worked at for over 8 years moving up to become the Human Resource Director. Losing this job added more to the feeling of failure, making me retreat and isolate. During this time of recovery, I dove deep into my yoga practice and discovered a new me. I practiced daily, meditated, prayed, and exercised, not because I felt like it, but because it was all I had to hold on to, with time I healed.
Through yoga training, I found my true purpose in life: To Help Others Heal. My practice taught me to see myself and others through the eyes of compassion. To always be genuine, loving, and caring to all. Yoga HAS TRANSFORMED my life and I believe it will transform yours too. I truly believe no one should have to go through life in pain; life can be enjoyed and cherished.
I received my RYT 200 hour training through the Rishi Yoga Institute under Devin Morgan. I currently teach Yoga Body Sculpt, Pilates, and Boot Camp at Crunch Gym in Northridge, bilingual yoga classes and wellness workshops at Friend of the Family in North Hills, as well as for charitable organizations like American Cancer Society, Relay for Life. I own a home studio where I offer private sessions, small group classes, and fun events like yoga and wine parties.
My goal as a teacher is to encourage every student to work at their own level, yet challenge themselves. I believe true growth happens when we work outside of our comfort zone. My hope is for all students to have a place on their mat where they can go to feel centered and grounded, then be able to take this with them so they can live peacefully and happy. I love to teach, always from a place of love, kindness, and compassion. I hope to inspire everyone to heal themselves through body awareness. Each class is centered on loving yourself, working at your own level and enjoying the small things in life. You will leave my class feeling refreshed, renewed, refocused, and relaxed (my 4R Method).
